It's so stupid. That's why i hate to buy clothes. I am an average middle aged woman....not fat, not thin but every time I go shopping, I am left feeling like a whale (evidently, i should shop at the Gap). At the Gap, I'm not tall enough.

Emotionally I feel like I'm fat; intellectually, I know I'm not. i'm just a woman. And I'm 50, I'm not 20.

J. is tall and thin and is always having his physique commented upon.....you wouldn't walk up to a 400# person and say...hey, how come you are so fat? Why is acceptable to comment on a thin person's physique?!

Insanity.

..ah, steve's c-town. I used to shop there. Perhaps there is a connection between the rude yuppies that shop there and the rudeness of the cashiers.
i can't believe that about the ice cream trucks. I know there was a noise ordinance passed a few years ago about their volume and duration of infernal racket they could play. But banning them alltogether? Give me a break. They don't want them exposed to the provacativeness of sugar or was it the noise? I heard there was a bunch of people trying to get the air traffic for Laguardia moved so it wouldn't o over Park Slope. After how many years landing at laguardia? Noise is only for poor people right?, how do you think it feels for those people in Queens? Ugh.. people.

Brilliant...I'm with you on nearly all of them, except eggplant. I like Thai eggplant in a nice green curry but all that over fried, over cheesed, over sauced Eggplant parmesean is ... yuck. And women who park their shopping carts in the middle of the aisle and have a conversation like they are the only people in the store....and these F*ing overprivileged college students in my town. I'm going to have to do this over at my place!

That is a fabulous picture of you and Kit. Happy summer! I'm not so sure on the waterskiing thing either...I'm just as happy to sit in the boat with a beer and watch all the crazies. I have to admit, getting a boat this summer was the way to get the big kids here for the summer. I'm not above seduction.

You can come up here and we can cook...I'll teach you how to make cheese mice and swimming pool cakes....Kitschy cooking at it's best!

What's even worse is when someone twits an entire episode of LOST...who's the twat now?

I've got twitter...but it was only of any use when watching the debates last fall with like-minded people. Now THAT was fun.

But now I'm going to go follow you....bwahahahaha

Parenting twins IS the hardest job. It's the constant competition between them that wears us down I think. It's always look at me! no, look at ME! Since you are not looking at me, I'm going to bite him! Since you are not looking at me, I'm going to pull her hair!

I don't have any words of wisdom. I think solving the mid-east conflicts is easier than being the mom of young twins. My hope is just to love them as individuals, to try and find the things that make them special as people and to pop another Prozac.
